Color reproduction areaWide Color Gamut The FlexScan SX3031W has a color gamut that is 100% compared to NTSC. It also reproduces 97% of the Adobe RGB color space so it can display most colors in a photograph taken in Adobe RGB mode. Furthermore, it has an sRGB mode to accurately reproduce this narrower but commonly used color space. This ensures that colors meant for sRGB such as those used on web pages and any photos taken with a digital camera’s sRGB mode will be reproduced on the screen as intended. Two Monitors in One with Picture-By-Picture Increase your work efficiency by dividing the screen into two equal halves of 1200 × 1600 and displaying input from two computers simultaneously. No bezel between the two halves and no toggling back and forth between the two computers. 12-Bit Gamma, 16-Bit Internal Processing The FlexScan SX3031W comes equipped with EIZO’s latest integrated circuit which has a 12-bit look-up table with a color palette of 68 billion colors from which the most appropriate 16.7 million (8-bits) are displayed. It also features 16-bit internal processing for smooth display of grayscale tones, especially in dark areas of an image which typically are difficult for LCD monitors to display without banding. Brightness and Color Uniformity with DUE Uniformity errors usually seen as brighter or darker areas on the screen are characteristic of LCD panels. A Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) function corrects brightness and chroma uniformity errors so they are virtually unnoticeable. Detailed Color Control The OSD menu offers adjustment of brightness, gamma, saturation, hue, gain and color temperature from 4,000 K to 10,000 K in 500 K increments. For fine-tuning of even a single color, the hue and saturation settings for red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow can be adjusted independently. Dual DVI-D Inputs Dual DVI-D inputs (digital) are included for connecting to two PCs. One input supports dual link for displaying resolutions up to the monitor’s maximum of 2560 × 1600, and the other input is single link for resolutions up to 1920 × 1200. The single link input supports high bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) for viewing of content from HDCP-equipped devices. 6 ms Midtone Response Time To enhance moving image playback capabilities, an overdrive circuit is included. This circuit vastly improves the LCD panel’s response time for changing between midtones or gray levels, which is necessary to display color images without blurring. Scale Non-Native Resolutions to a Full Screen When working in resolutions less than the native resolution or aspect ratios different than 16:10 you can still view work in full screen with the scaling function. This is especially useful when using the monitor’s single link input. You can then smoothen or sharpen the image in five increments. You can also enlarge your image while maintaining your aspect ratio if preferred. Fine Contrast For optimum viewing of different kinds of content, EIZO’s Fine Contrast function includes modes for office applications (Text mode), video clips (Movie mode), graphics (Picture mode), web browsing (sRGB mode), and user-defined settings (Custom mode). Switching between modes is done by pressing a button on the front panel or by using the bundled ScreenManager Pro for LCD software, which supports automatic mode switching such as changing to Text mode when an e-mail application is selected. USB 2.0 Hub This one upstream, two downstream hub facilitates high speed (480 MB/s) connections with other USB peripherals. Free Mount Capability Panel can be removed from its stand and mounted on VESA-compliant arms or stands.
